Training on agriculture enterprise development

Eligibility

Individuals or groups/ organizations who needs to establish a new agro based enterprise or to develop the present agro based enterprise

Process of submitting applications

Advertise in weekend national newspapers in January every year. Follow the instructions given or contact the centre by mail, email or over the phone

Time of submitting the applications

Office hours in weekdays in first quarter of the year

Fees payable to obtain the service

Rs 500/= per day (training conducts for one day, two days or three days)

Time of the supplying the service

Depend on the availability of resource persons and training schedules at the centers. Trainings are conducted in the second and third quarters of the year.

• Visits to Agriculture Technology Parks in Gannoruwa and Batatha
• National telecasting on success stories of farmers (‘Mihikatha Dinuwo’ on Fridays at 6.45pm on National TV)
• Providing training on AV teaching aids and presentation technology
• Duplicating VCD/DVD on agricultural TV programmes broadcasted; ‘Mihikatha Dinuwo’ on Fridays at 6.45pm and ‘Govibimata Arunalu’ on Sundays at 6.30pm
• Conducting Agriculture Exhibitions
• Training on agriculture enterprise development
• Advisory service for establishing/ developing medium scale/ large scale commercial farms
