Main objective of this station is to identify knowledge gaps encountered with the rice cultivation in the Eastern Province, especially in the Ampara district and to propose suitable remedial measures. The NCRVT, VAT and LSVAT were conducted both research station and farmer fields. Large scale Hybrid Rice adaptability studies were also conducted in 10 locations.
